Scott Adams is sup’s Head of Outreach where he focuses on advancing the relationship between sup and the public, organizing outreach campaigns, and expanding sup’s catalog of blog posts. He was born in Westchester, NY but spent a significant amount of his life living in the mountains of Orange County, NY. He attended SUNY Oswego where he recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Combining his education and campaign experience, Scott brings a unique and focused perspective to sup as it pertains to political and social justice strategies.
Scott’s most recent political work found him working on the 2018 Vote Oswego voter registration campaign, a program used to promote non-partisan voter registration amongst college students and the other inhabitants of the city of Oswego, NY. As part of this campaign his responsibilities included door-to-door canvassing, organizing, coordinating and networking voter registration events, amongst other activities such as workshopping and phone-banking. This campaign not only exceeded its goal of voter registration, but also left a notable impression on Scott. It showed him the incrediblethings that a relatively small, organized group of people can accomplish, an idea he looks to further at sup.
