Jovan C. Irving is sup’s CEO and one of the Co-Founders. Jovan was born and raised in Yonkers, NY but moved to New York City upon being accepted to New York University. There he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Clinical Psychology. Combining his degree in psychology with his background in SaaS sales, Jovan leads the development and execution of the company’s long and short term strategies, while also ensuring that social responsibility is always at the forefront of our data-informed decision making. “Part of this means making sure that all voices are heard - that everyone involved has a say in how sup develops. My position involves not just making decisions, but also being a leader for my team and company.”
A fighter in the Civil Rights Movement and career social worker, Jovan’s grandmother instilled a deep sense of social justice in Mr. Irving from a young age. These foundational ideologies are what makes Jovan believe in sup’s potential to help continue the fight for social justice that previous generations have long sought. “I think that this company, in that regard, can be a great example of recognizing the best that America has to offer. We have a reputation as a melting pot… but also as a country of great unrest and social divide. If we can prove the notion that diversity is strength, then our example could be set as one for others to aspire to.”
